Gas R422a, also known under the brand name Freon ™ (Isceon) 79, is an easy-to-use, non-ozone depleting HFC refrigerant, originally made to replace R22, R502 and refrigerant mixtures containing HCFC.
Gas R422a is a more practical conversion option than R404A or R507, not requiring the total replacement of mineral oil with polyester.
